Join us at the shop this Monday, May 31, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for a taste of Takenotsuyu!  Mr. Masao Aisawa, the President of Takenotsuyu Brewery will be pouring his sake at the shop and answering questions.

Founded in 1858, Takenotsuyu Brewery is located in Yamagata prefecture near Mount Haguro.  The brewery prides itself on using all local ingredients including seven different types of top grade Yamagata rice and the exceptionally pure water from deep inside the nearby mountains.

On the complimentary tasting menu for Monday is:

Using Miyamanishiki rice milled down to 60%, this Honjozo comes in a uniquely shaped bottle with a matching cup.
