YOSHI’S BACK! ROUND 2

What’s that you say?  You enjoyed the World Sake Imports sake sampling we did last week so much that you want Yoshi to come back and do it again? Okay, you got it!

Join us this Saturday for another complimentary World Sake Imports sake tasting.  Yoshi will be back for ROUND 2 with a whole new line up of sake.  We’ll be sampling quite a bit of Daiginjos including Akitabare Suirakuten which is one of Nadine’s favorites as well as Tamagawa Kinsho which is brewed by Philip Harper, the only foreign toji in Japan.

Here’s what we’ll be sampling.

Akitabare Suirakuten Junmai Daiginjo
One of Nadine’s favorites.  This sake is cold aged for two years resulting in a mild yet complex flavor.  Excellent sake!

Tamagawa Kinsho Daiginjo
Philip Harper’s masterpiece.  This full flavored Daiginjo has won gold at the prestigious National New Sake Awards in Japan and US National Appraisals.

Tedorigawa Yamahai Daiginjo
Brewed using the “old school” Yamahai method, this sake combines the expected fruitiness of a Daiginjo with the earthiness of a Yamahai.

Kamoizumi Junmai Daiginjo
Full flavored Daiginjo with a range of foresty and floral flavors that drinks smooth. A customer originally turned us on to this sake and we’re glad that he did.

Dewazakura Dewasansan Junmai Ginjo
Made using Dewa 33 rice, this sake is known for the mild tartness of it’s green apple flavor.

Kokuryu Junmai Ginjo
Also known as the Black Dragon, this sake has a deep flavor with a slightly dry finish.

Kamoizumi Nigori
In our opinion one of the best cloudy sakes out there.  This Ginjo grade Nigori has more refined rice particulates and doesn’t drink as overly sweet as some of the other Nigorizake out there.

A Kikusui tasting on Friday and now a World Sake Imports tasting on Saturday.  To top it off I’ll be sending out another notice tomorrow for a third tasting on Sunday!  Wow, we’ve got quite a bit of sake planned for this weekend!  Stop by this Saturday for ROUND 2 with Yoshi!
