Masumi Yumedono

Masumi Yumedono

With the JOY OF SAKE event just around the corner, we thought we’d get a head start on things by sampling some of the past Gold Medal Winners from previous Joy of Sake/US National Sake Appraisals.

We’ll be tasting some of our all time favorites along with Philip Harper’s latest masterpiece, Kinsho.  Here’s the menu for this Saturday.

Masumi Yumedono Daiginjo
Silky smooth and delicious.  One of my all time favorite top ten sake.

Tamagawa Kinsho Daiginjo
Excellent sake from Master Brewer Philip Harper.

Dewazakura Oka Ginjo
The sake that is credited with starting the premium sake era 30 years ago.

Dewazaura Omachi Junmai Ginjo
The quintessential “omachi rice” sake named after the omachi rice that is used to make it.

Tedorigawa Yamahai Junmai
One of Nadine’s all time favorites.  Smooth and easy to drink cold or warm.

Akitabare Koshiki Junzukuri Junmai
Mild, slightly dry and easy to drink.  A tasty everyday kind of sake.

So please stop by the shop this Saturday to get an early start on this year’s Joy of Sake event.

Kanpai,
Malcolm & Nadine
